About the Author

“Eric Ralph (Ray) Blackwood Born 1926. In 1981 Ray retired from a banking career to live with his wife at Shute Harbour in the Whitsundays. In 1979 Ray published “The Whitsunday Islands – An Historical Dictionary” via the Central Queensland University. In 2019 Ray published in CD “The Whitsunday Islands – An Historical Encyclopedia” available from the Proserpine Historical Museum.

In 2020 Ray turned to the controversial subject of the Dauphin map and has had related articles published in The Globe – Number 88 2020 and The Skeptic – Vol 41, No 1 March 2021.
